The short version
Partydice has no accounts, no sign-up and no analytics. The names you type in, the scores, the settings and any video you record stay on your device. We do not collect them, we cannot see them, and there is no server of ours holding anything about you.
The rest of this page says the same thing at the length these documents are expected to be.
1. Who is responsible
The maker of Partydice is the controller of whatever little personal data this app involves. You can reach us at contact (at) partydice.app.
2. What is stored on your device
The app keeps a save file in its own private storage on your device. It can contain:
- the names of the people playing, and any age or mark entered beside them, all typed in by whoever is holding the device;
- groups of those names, saved so a group who play together do not have to type each other in again;
- scores, and the state of a game in progress;
- settings: the language, sound, vibration, and the options a game offers;
- videos you record with the app, in a folder only the app can read.
None of this is sent to us. It is removed when you delete the app or clear its data through your device's settings, and we cannot recover it afterwards.
3. What we collect
Nothing. There is no account, no registration, no identifier we assign you, no analytics library, no crash reporting service, no advertising identifier read by us, and no tracking of any kind in the app.
4. When the app talks to the internet
Most of the app never does. Two things reach the network:
- Some games keep their pictures or texts on our website rather than in the download, and fetch them when the game starts. The app says so before starting such a game.
- The browser version has to be downloaded before it runs.
Those are ordinary web requests. Like any web server, ours receives what a request carries — the IP address it came from, the time, the file asked for, and the browser or system making it. Our site is served by Cloudflare, which processes those requests on our behalf and keeps short-lived logs for security and to make the site work. We do not use them to build a profile of anybody and do not combine them with anything else.
5. Camera, microphone and photos
The app asks for the camera, and for the microphone if you choose to record sound, only when you open the camera yourself. The picture is drawn on the screen and, if you are recording, written to the video file. It is not streamed anywhere and it is not sent to us.
A recording leaves your device only when you tap share and pick where it goes. From that moment it is in the hands of whatever service you picked, under that service's own terms.
6. Advertising
The app does not display advertising today. If it does in future, the advertisements will be served by third-party networks that operate under their own privacy policies and may collect data — including advertising identifiers — for their own purposes, over which we have no control. This page will say so, and will name them, before that happens.
7. This website
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It stores one thing in your browser: which language you chose, so that the next visit does not send you somewhere you did not ask to go. It stays in your browser and is cleared with your browsing data.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we knowingly collect no personal data from anybody, of any age. Some games declare a minimum age for the table and say so before they start. If you believe a child has entered something into the app that concerns you, it is on that device, and deleting the app or clearing its data removes it.
9. Your rights
Data protection law — the GDPR in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the LGPD in Brazil, the CCPA and CPRA in California, and similar laws elsewhere — gives you rights to know what a company holds about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, to take it elsewhere, and not to be sold or profiled.
We hold nothing about you, so there is nothing to disclose, correct, export or delete on our side, and nothing to sell: we have never sold or shared personal data and do not. Everything the app knows is on your device and under your control, and uninstalling it or clearing its data is the complete exercise of every one of those rights. If you would like to ask us anything about this, write to us and we will answer.
10. Where data goes
Because we collect nothing, there is no international transfer of your data by us. Web requests to our site are handled by Cloudflare's network, which may serve them from a location near you or elsewhere.
11. How long anything is kept
What is on your device stays until you remove it. Server logs of requests to our site are kept only as long as Cloudflare's own retention allows, which is a matter of days.
12. Security
The save file and any recording live in storage the operating system keeps private to the app. That protection is the device's, not ours, and no system is perfect: a device that other people can unlock is a device where they can open the app and read what is in it.
13. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the current version is always the one on this page.
14. Contact
Questions, or any request about your data: contact (at) partydice.app. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.
